Upper Eastside Farmer's Marketing Still Going Strong

Take a look at the fresh, organic, all locally-sourced farmer's market I keep raving about. This seasonal market takes place at Biscayne Plaza Shopping Center, corner of 79th street and Biscayne Blvd, every Saturday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM from now until the end of May.

Art Friedrich  and Melissa Contreras of the Urban Oasis Project are the Market Managers and they keep the prices very reasonable, unlike some other local "fresh markets", and even accept EBT for the lower income patrons. In addition, through a government grant they are able to double EBT funds spent up to $10.

I'm very pleased with the growth of the market. I hope you can stop by soon!
