The Buzz about Downtown Divas Boutique

Art and Fashion Fusion was the theme for the most recent spur-of-the-moment Happy Hour event at the exclusive Downtown Divas Boutique Miami located at 1800 Biscayne Boulevard.

Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to attend and peruse the works of the event's featured artist, Jean Villamizar, as I browsed for unique pieces to add to my wardrobe.

Clothing from designers such Voom by Joy Han, Sweetees, Velvet by Graham & Spencer, Revolver Clothing, Lucky Brand Jeans, and Bianca Coletti grace the racks of this eclectic new boutique.

Amidst Downtown Miami's beautiful sun-kissed people, intermingled with soothing music and rounds of complementary cocktails, I browsed the boutiques wide selection of slinky summer dresses, Glamazon tops and bottoms, matching accessories, and peeked in the boudoir filled with the cutest sex-kitten lingerie.

Needless to say, a mini shopping spree was definitely in order.

Donning brightly colored pieces from the boutiques selection and this summer's patented strappy metallic sandals, also available at the boutique, owners Serena and Danielle warmly greeted their guests as they arrived, introducing known Miami trendsetters to one another.

According to Danielle, "Diva Style is an eclectic blend of trendy and designer, chic and classic, modern and vintage that embraces the tropical weather of south Florida and the dynamic blend of cultures that is uniquely Miami."

"We believe true style is much more than slapping on several designer labels and heading out the door," added Serena. "We carry a range of casual chic pieces that mix and match, layer well and go easily from day to night."

The boutique events are open to regular Downtown Divas shoppers and special invited guests. To get added to the list for future exclusive events and shopping parties, stop by the boutique. Tell 'em k. Melanie sent you!
